The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 2.86. 24.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. There were 812 households, out of which 26.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.1% were married couples living together, 8.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.8% were non-families. ![]() Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.11% of the population. The racial makeup of the township was 97.23% White, 0.15% African American, 0.91% Native American, 0.10% Asian, 0.45% from other races, and 1.16% from two or more races. There were 1,650 housing units at an average density of 45.9 per square mile (17.7/km 2). The population density was 55.3 inhabitants per square mile (21.4/km 2).
